One of six Super Hornets returning home to RAAF Base Amberley in Queensland after completing seven months of air-strike operations against Islamic State militants in Iraq since September 2014. 9M-LNW Boeing 737-8GP (MSN 39875/5616) of Malindo Air, at Perth Airport - Thu 19 November 2015. First service to Australia by Malindo Air. Flight OD151 from Kuala Lumpur landing on runway 21 at 2:41pm and is seen here being greeted by a water cannon salute from local fire fighting crews. The first service was operated by a Boeing 737-800, but they are supposed to use a 737-900ER. The inaugural flight departed Kuala Lumpur over an hour late at 9:32am (scheduled departure is 8:25am), but made up time en route, arriving 36 minutes late, after a flight time of 5 hours 7 minutes. 9M-LNW is a recent addition to Malindo’s fleet; it first flew on 6 October 2015 and was delivered on 17 October 2015.
