21 October 2022: Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visits Perth with two Boeing 777-300ER of Japan Air Self-Defence Force

Two Boeing 777-3SBER of the Japan Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) arrived at Perth from Tokyo-Haneda on a rare visit.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and a Japanese Government delegation were visiting Perth for an annual Australia/Japan leaders meeting. This was the first visit by a Japanese Prime Minister to Western Australia since 2018.

80-1112 used callsign ‘JAPAN AIR FORCE 1’ with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and a Japanese Government delegation aboard arrived at 6:47pm and parked at bay 162. PM Kishida got off first at 7pm and boarded a limousine, escorted by WA Police. The rest of the delegation boarded other limousines and a pair of large coach buses.

80-1111 used callsign ‘JAPAN AIR FORCE 2’, and parked at bay 150 at 7:20pm.

Both aircraft departed back to Tokyo-Haneda on the night of 22 October 2022, 80-1111 as ‘JAPAN AIR FORCE 001’ and 80-1112 as ‘JAPAN AIR FORCE 002’.
