VH-CQA Grumman G-73 Mallard (MSN J-35) owned and flown by Peter Lynch, at the Australia Day City of Perth Air Show, over the Swan River, Perth – Thu 26 January 2017. This aircraft arrived in Western Australia from the eastern states on 13 January 2017 and was temporarily based at Serpentine Airfield. It flew direct from Serpentine to the air show, and crashed shortly after this photo. Tragically, both pilot/owner Peter Lynch and his partner and passenger Endah Cakrawati lost their lives in the crash. The rest of the airshow and firework displays were immediately cancelled.
