The Thunderbird formation is also treated as a formation flying training activity for the student pilots. After taking off from RAAF Pearce, the aircraft gathered into their formation to the west of Gingin, before heading south west to pass over Rottnest Island at approximately 3.54pm, heading east over Fremantle at approximately 3.57pm, the follow the Swan River to pass in front of Perth city at approximately 4.00pm. They are seen here over the north eastern suburbs at 4.14pm before passing over RAAF Pearce for a flypast at 4:16pm.

On final approach to runway 21 at 12:14pm, arriving from Alice Springs as ‘GIANT 5446’. It had departed Honolulu on 31 May 2014, and had to divert to Cairns on 1 June 2014 due to fog at Perth, where it overnighted before continuing on its journey, but then had to divert to Alice Springs and overnighted there. It departed Perth to Incheon, South Korea at 4:41pm, as ‘GIANT 5447’. The same aircraft had visited Perth in April 2014.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Jetstar painted this aircraft in all-over orange livery at Seletar in Singapore, with ‘Low fares forever’ titles on the right side and ‘#jetstargeneration’ titles on the left side. The aircraft was delivered back to Melbourne on 23 May 2014 and an official celebration was held there on 25 May. This was its first visit to Perth since the repaint, and it is seen here on final approach to runway 21 at 12:30 as JQ968 from Melbourne.

Arrived from Cairns via Alice Springs and Kalgoorlie on 30 May 2014, to commence its lease to Maroomba Airlines. Maroomba has a number of Skytrans Dash 8s on lease, all of which were painted in full Maroomba livery.
