Malaysia Airlines is increasing service frequency between Kuala Lumpur and Perth from 25 March 2018.
In addition to the current night time MH127/126 service, the airline will reintroduce the MH125/124 afternoon service, using Boeing 737-800s. The MH125/124 schedule will gradually increase, as follows:
- 27 MAR 2018 – 1 JUN 2018: TUE & THU.
- 2 JUN 2018 – 2 AUG 2018: TUE, THU, SAT, SUN.
- 3 AUG 2018 onwards: TUE, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN.
Malaysia Airlines restructured its Perth services in 18 November 2016, moving from afternoon to night time services and later downgraded from Airbus A330-300 to Boeing 737-800.
The Malaysia Airlines service increase announcement comes only days after AirAsia X announced that it will be reducing its Perth services, by eliminating its afternoon D7 232 / D7 233 service from 2 February 2018, in an effort to improve profitability.
