Thai Airways International has delayed the introduction of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to services between Bangkok and Perth.

Thai earlier announced plans to make Perth the first destination for their new Boeing 787 aircraft, with services to start from 1 July 2014.

However, the airline has now taken a more cautious approach, with the first flights for their Boeing 787 being a few short domestic flights between Bangkok and Chiang Mai from 8 July 2014 for crew training purposes, then daily international Bangkok-Manila services operating temporarily from 8 – 31 August 2014.

The first Boeing 787 service from Bangkok to Perth will be TG483, which departs Bangkok  at 11:59pm on 1 September 2014, arriving at Perth on 2 September 2014 at 7:45am. It then departs Perth at 9:15am as TG484 back to Bangkok.
